WASTELINK's New Name... New Look... And New Focus!
'Having decided to focus on where we see the greatest need - and where we have the greatest strength - we had to completely reposition our business to reflect that!'
"We have completely repositioned our business..." - Martin Connolly, Wastelink's Managing Director.
That is how Managing Director Martin Connolly explained Agenda Systems' recent name change to Wastelink Pty Ltd.
'Our new business name carries a comprehensive branding that spells out exactly who we are and what business we are in.'
THE DECISION TO CHANGE
He said that Agenda Systems had been launched 18 years ago to produce a range of custom-designed niche software products covering various applications.
Welcome to 'The Link'!
We are pleased to introduce you to the first edition of Wastelink's official newsletter, The Link '!
You will receive regular copies of this newsletter to inform you about liquid waste monitoring and management issues.
As well, we will tell you of the latest developments regarding Wastelink - the Australian-developed, world-leading software designed specifically for monitoring liquid waste.
'However, one of our products - Wastelink - has opened up particularly exciting prospects, both here and overseas.'
'At a time of mounting environmental concern about liquid waste control, we have a unique management tool that has a world-beating technological lead.'
'Not surprisingly, we recognised that we had to give this our total focus.'
'We wanted to project ourselves to the marketplace as the specialists in water waste management software. Full stop!'
THE NEW LOOK
The new company name, Wastelink Pty Ltd, uses the eye-catching logo that had been already created for the software product itself.
'Our brief to the designer was to project this company as a substantial, modern and innovative organization - and we wanted a visual connection to the business we are in,' said Martin.
'Along with our continuing product development, the new structure and branding means we're now fully geared up for big growth!'
... And We've Moved to New Premises!

If you are going to relaunch a company, you might as well do everything in one move - and that includes relocating premises!
The change from Agenda Systems to Wastelink Pty Ltd coincided with the firm's move from the inner city suburb of Balmain to Sydney's central business district.
The new premises are much larger and are capable of coping efficiently with the firm's planned growth over the coming years.
Goodbye to Those Yellow Dockets!
Waste transporters are going electronic!
That’s the good news following Sydney Water’s decision to replace the current time-consuming, paper-based tracking system with an electronic scanning system.
Launched this month, the new Wastelink software module for transporters does away with those long-unpopular yellow dockets.
As well as being more efficient and less time-consuming, the new system also includes a set of useful tools to help transporters carry out their day-to-day operations.
The first order for the new software is from waste transporter Remondis of St Mary’s, Sydney - and is due to be installed in September.
You can read the full details about Wastelink for Transporters in the next edition of The Link. In the meantime, of course, you can also contact Martin Connolly on (02) 9247 2800.
'We now have a more appropriate, easily-accessed address where we can meet our present and potential customers - and those who can help us promote more efficient liquid waste management,' said Sue Hood, Wastelink's Project Manager (photo).
'At the same time, our central location puts us closer to the facilities and resources we need to service national and overseas markets.'
The new premises are at Level 7, 189 Kent St., Sydney 2000.
Wastelink is a Family Friendly Employer!
Congratulations to Wastelink's Sue Hood and husband David on the birth of baby Harrison on 17 April. Sue is full of praise for the company's family friendly policies that allow new parents to continue contributing their talents and experience. Little Harrison (see above) has been coming into the office for 'work experience' since he was a mere two weeks' old!
